A few more Fresno State - San Jose State game thoughts plus a bunch of photos.
Photos in descending order: C.J. Webster, Chris Oakes, Robert Owens, John Williams and Justin Graham.
The Spartans put up 14 more shots than Fresno State, 69 to 55.
Neither team did well from long distance. SJSU shot 2-16, the Bulldogs 6-26 but Fresno State also went just 8-18 from the foul line.
San Jose State earned 18 assists on its 28 baskets, a very nice ratio. As a contrast, New Mexico State was credited with just nine assists on its 22 baskets against Utah State Saturday night -- an indication of more one-on-one play.
SJSU also out-boarded the Bulldogs 44-35, with 16 of the 44 being of the offensive variety. Fresno State had matched 2008-2009 opponents rebound for rebound up to this contest.
For some reason or reasons, the Bulldogs attempted seven trey attempts in the overtime, missing every one.
